-
- The PhonePak is autoconfig, AKAIK.
-
- Speaking with THE PhonePak developer, he told me that the PhonePak uses
- some rarely used, though documented fast timing operation of DMA transfer
- which was found to have bugs in the Zorro III bus implementations. It has
- been said that 16bit RAM is needed to avoid this problem. Later versions of
- the A3000/A4000 chipsets and/or CPU cards were also supposed to have fixes
- for this problem. OTOH, the PhonePak does work fine in a 2000 with an
- '040... :-)
